  • Salary: $111,335 per annum (pro-rata if part time)
  • (Inclusive of 12% Superannuation and 17.5% Leave Loading)

The Institute for Ethics and Society, Sydney is seeking an enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Research Associate. This position is based at the Broadway site of the Sydney Campus and reports to the Director of the Institute for Ethics and Society (IES) in collaboration with the Director of Mission at St. Vincent’s Health Network Sydney (SVHNS).

This is a unique position that is responsible for undertaking rigorous inquiry into spiritual care practices, pastoral care practices and spiritual care education in the healthcare sector. Liaising with the IES Director to develop empirical, theological and philosophical aspects of interdisciplinary spiritual care research in consultation with Director of Mission, St. Vincent’s Health Network Sydney (SVHNS). This position will also assist in the development of ethics applications, research design and analysis, data collection, reporting, research publications, funding applications and other current research-related documents.

To be successful in this role, you will have a background in qualitative data collection and analysis, preferably in healthcare contexts. Additionally, demonstrated knowledge of the translation of research to practice and experience in using research technologies such as data analysis software will be highly regarded.
