We are seeking a warm, reliable person to provide weekly companionship and local social support to an elderly Sister in an aged care setting in Oxley/Ipswich.
This is a discreet, non-clinical role focused on companionship, conversation, and consistent social connection. It would suit someone locally based who can offer a steady, friendly presence and help reduce isolation.
About the Role
Approximately 2 hours per week, with occasional additional time.
Duties include conversation and shared time, occasional café visits, local drives or appointments, light assistance with personal errands, and maintaining a consistent and familiar presence. You will also notify staff of any notable changes in wellbeing and provide a brief weekly update to an interstate Health and Wellbeing Manager.
About You
You are kind, reliable, and respectful, with a calm and steady manner suited to older adults. You hold a current driver’s licence and are comfortable with local travel in the Oxley/Ipswich area.
Remuneration & Expenses
Hourly rate: To Be Negotiated
Reasonable expenses reimbursed, including mileage (per km rate) and agreed outing or errand costs.
