About the Opportunity
As Technical Business Analyst, you will play a key role in helping the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney identify opportunities for improvement and deliver technology solutions that meet organisational needs.
Working closely with stakeholders across the Archdiocese, parishes, and Technology Services, you will:
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussions to uncover business needs and requirements
- Analyse processes, systems, and user experiences to identify opportunities for improvement
- Translate business requirements into clear specifications, user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria
- Develop project briefs, business cases, and other analysis artefacts that support informed decision-making
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Support solution design, testing, implementation, and post-project activities to ensure successful outcomes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance services, processes, and technology capability across the organisation
- Help shape technology solutions that support the future needs of the Archdiocese and its parishes
This is a full-time maximum-term contract opportunity through to November 2027. The role is currently based in Leichhardt and will relocate to Elizabeth Street, Sydney CBD in the first quarter of 2027.
This role is ideal for a naturally curious and analytical professional who enjoys solving problems, engaging with stakeholders, and turning ideas into practical solutions that deliver measurable value.
About You
You are an inquisitive and analytical professional who enjoys understanding how organisations work and identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and user experiences.
You bring:
- Proven experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and process improvement within a technology or project environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops, ask insightful questions, and translate diverse perspectives into clear requirements
- Experience developing business cases, requirements specifications, process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- The ability to analyse complex problems, identify practical solutions, and communicate recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working across multiple projects and managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Familiarity with business analysis and process mapping tools such as Visio, Lucid chart, Miro, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms
You are collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation. You enjoy bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions and take pride in ensuring projects deliver meaningful and measurable outcomes.
