CEnet, Catholic Education’s purpose-built technology services company, is seeking to appoint an Independent Director to support the organisation’s strategic direction and continued growth.

About CEnet
CEnet was founded to support the evangelising and educational mission of the Catholic Church. Operating as a not-for-profit organisation, CEnet provides shared ICT services to seventeen (17) Member Catholic Dioceses, connecting 759 school and Diocesan communities across metropolitan, regional and rural NSW, QLD, TAS, the ACT and NT. CEnet’s end-user population extends to some 355,000 users including K-12 students, teachers and administrative staff.
About the Board
The Board consists of nine (9) directors being:
- Four (4) Member Nominated Directors;
- Four (4) Independent Directors; and
- An Independent Chair.

Time Commitment
Directors are expected to allocate approximately 10-12 days per annum for:
- Board meetings
- Committee meetings
- Business and strategic planning workshops and activities
- AGM and other Member meetings
- Education and training
- Induction program for new directors
Remuneration and Benefits
Directors are not remunerated, however, they are entitled to the reimbursement of expenses necessarily incurred in attending to CEnet business and Professional Development opportunities as approved by the Chair.
